Possibility Books were developed by Kris Stanec. Kris was curious if she could design a method that taught creative thinking skills in small bite-size moments that worked across disciplines for a variety of purposes. She currently Directs Creativity & Innovation at Colorado College, the second most innovative small liberal arts school in the nation according to US News and World Report. Possibility Books began in 2021 as a project that brought together her years as a faculty member in the Education Department and Museum Education Director.

Mike Taber, Professor of Education at Colorado College started using Possibility Books in a course in 2022 and uses them in every class he now teaches, from Research Design to Environmental Education. His data analysis of over 3 years of surveys led to the realization that Possibility Books are one way to tap into Creative Critical Inquiry.
